International Men’s Day Greetings – by Jerome Teelucksingh Founder

Congratulations to Francesca Thorne (Founder & CEO of Australian Women’s Network & Australian Men’s Network) for embracing International Men’s Day scheduled for 20th November in Melbourne, Australia.

Your effort is part of a world movement that encompasses tens of thousands of likeminded people across the globe. Our movement is a celebration of positive male role models, family values as well as an inner understanding that our purpose-driven individual lives can play in building a more humane world.

The annual International Men’s Day movement aims to bring attention to positive achievements and neglected deficiencies of Men in today’s world. The IMD movement brings attention to people who have a deep desire to assist the troubled, help the dysfunctional and promote positive role models through our desire to elevate goodwill. It is our hope that celebrating International Men’s Day will ultimately lead to increased mindfulness and well-being to create more caring fathers, brothers, nephews, grandfathers, husbands and sons.

It is also our core belief that IMD is a movement our children will be proud of. Integrating our core attributes surrounding righteousness, love, compassion, steadfastness, resilience, self-reliance and Integrity.

IMD’s aim is to assist a growing population of genuine male role models in particular among our youth. IMD along with other likeminded organisations and individuals aim to create an environment that nurtures understanding as well as increase mindfulness by actively looking within.

It is my goal that International Men’s Day becomes the global medium to heal our world. The concept and themes behind IMD are designed to give hope to the depressed, faith to the lonely, comfort to the broken-hearted, transcend barriers, eliminate stereotypes and create a more caring humanity.

Since its inception, IMD has blossomed into a movement that promotes goodwill, positively and has a transformational core message for those wanting to experience more connection, understanding and growth. I would like to commend the organisers and supporters in Australia for supporting IMD.

Kind Regards
